My Story

Dr. Thomas Gross has been in the field of behavioral health for over 17 years and has expertise in working with anxiety, depression, behavior modification, frustration tolerance, anger management; parenting enhancement all across behaviorally challenged parents, children, teens, and adults.

Having received an excellence in teaching award in 2014, his passion to assist teenagers became more deeply rooted. He is the author of the study “Influence Of Perceived Parenting Styles On Alcohol Consumption & Academic Achievement Among Jewish Youth,” and developed “T.Y.B.” method to guide struggling families navigate through all types of developmental turbulence.

Dr. Gross was invited to join The PSI CHI honor society for future psychologists in 2015.
He received his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Walden University in Nov. 2021 and trained under top experts in several therapeutic modalities, gaining extensive insight into best evidence-based therapy practices. This Includes;  Cognitive behavior therapy (The Beck Institute), Dialectical behavior therapy (Dr. Charlie Swenson), Acceptance commitment therapy (Dr. Steven Hayes), Motivational Interviewing (Dr. Stephen Rollnick), Trauma-focused cognitive behavior therapy (Dr. Esther Deblinger), and parenting enhancement and management with defiant children (Dr. Alan Kazdin).


Dr. Gross has been requested to attend several local schools within his community to educate children, teachers, and parents on current trends of substance abuse prevention, intervention, and when to seek help. Additionally, provided education on the intensity and duration of symptoms that may lead a depression and/or anxiety towards suicidal ideation. As a mental health resource to EMS, schools and parents via his parenting Whatsapp groups, emails, and brief consultations, he provides expert advice with challenging behaviors.

Dr. Gross trained educators in the use of "The Tailor Your Behavior Method," which continues to garner the respect and attention of clientele, allowing them access to customized multi-disciplinary application, targeting best outcomes with sensitive or overbearing school and parental challenges as they arise.
